If you are a fan of the Craft Cocktail craze (raises hand), I don’t know where there’s a better one. With it’s quirky industrial space, extensive vinyl collection, friendly bartenders and laid-back vibe, you can’t go wrong with a visit to this We-ho staple. Don’t leave without trying the nachos on the bar side, and for one of the best meals in town, make reservations for the multi-course “ feast,” served in a vibey, intimate space next door.
Known mostly for it’s quality breads, pies, cookies, and other sweets, don’t overlook breakfast or lunch at one of the best bakeries in town. Using local, organic ingredients, you can fill up on homemade soup, sandwiches, and unique salads.
Gabby’s Burgers & Fries
Grass-fed beef, chili, shakes, and the best sweet potato fries anywhere. Not much else needs to be said about this neighborhood staple. Ask about the “secret menu”And keep in mind that the hours are 10:30 – 2:30pm most days.
Hemingway’s Bar & Hideaway
One of the newer kids on the block, Hemingways Bar & Hideaway is a nod to Ernest Hemingway, serving creative Tavern fare and craft cocktails in a warm industrial vibe mixed with wood, stone, and leather. You can’t go wrong by ordering the Korean Fried Chicken or the Duck Poutine. Open for lunch and dinner.
Boasting “Nashville’s largest moonshine collection” this food truck turned chicken joint has found some of the most creative ways to serve up smoked chicken and with a sense of humor. Try the “Thighs in a pile,” “Dump Truck O’ Wings,” and of course a flight of great tasting moonshine.” They also have a nice selection of local beer and an outdoor patio!
Clawsons Pub & Deli
Decadent sandwiches with quality ingredients & sauces, this unique vintage space also serves up gluten free items, a great beer list, and a growler station.
